D6 Athlete of the Week: Annabelle Noelle Cox, Northridge High School

D6 Athlete of the Week: Annabelle Noelle Cox, Northridge High School

"Annabelle is dependable and focused. When she bowls, she takes her time, stays calm under pressure, and shows remarkable determination frame after frame. Her teammates know they can count on her - not just for her performance, but for her kindness and her calm, grounding energy. Even without many words, Annabelle communicates encouragement through high-fives, smiles, and genuine support for others."

"Annabelle is a senior on our Unified Bowling team, and her steady, consistent presence is one of our team's greatest strengths. She shows up every single week ready to work, never seeking attention or recognition - she just quietly gives her best and leads by example.

Stats

Northridge Team 1 has not lost a match in the two years I have been on the team.

"I am most proud of winning the State Championship last year with my team."

What's one goal you're currently working towards in your sport?

"No bowling team has ever won State two years in a row. I would like to change that this year."

Describe your worst sports performance. What did you learn from this experience?

"My worst sports performance was when I had a match where nothing was going right for me, and I got a couple gutters. I learned to just keep a positive attitude, and then my next game went much better."

Who are your role models in your sport or life, and how have they influenced you?

"My parents and my friends are my role models because they have helped me to never stop trying new things, and they have helped me reach my goals."

How do you balance sports with other responsibilities like school or work?

"I know that staying on top of my school work is the top priority. As long as my school work is done, I can spend as much time as I want doing what I love, which is bowling."

What are your career or college plans after you graduate high school?

"Cosmetology or working at a coffee shop."

What advice do you have for younger athletes who want to join your sport?

"Work together with your team and help each other out."

Do you have any funny pre-game rituals or superstitions that you stick to?

"Not really. I have a pregame playlist on Spotify that I listen to."

If you were to participate in a talent show unrelated to your sport, what would your act be?

"Singing."
