"The achievement in marching band I am most proud of was going to State this year and getting 2nd place in finals. It was super rewarding to see all of the hours of hard work pay off, while working and competing with some of my favorite people."

What's one goal you're currently working towards in your sport?

"One goal I am working toward is staying consistent with all of my music and marching technique."

Describe your worst sports performance. What did you learn from this experience?

"My worst sports performance might have been this year at the Greeley Invitational. The weather was super cold and windy. It was really hard to march in that weather. The cold weather makes it difficult to play, and it can make your instrument out of tune. One lesson I took away from this was to always be prepared for anything and bring extra hand warmers!"

Who are your role models in your sport or life, and how have they influenced you?

"My role models are my band directors: Mr. Goering and Mr. Barnett from University and Mr. Marquis from Frontier. They have been instrumental in helping me reach my current skill level and have provided support whenever needed. More importantly, they have taught me many valuable life lessons that I can apply both on the field and in my every day life."

How do you balance sports with other responsibilities like school or work?

"I make sure to not take school to band rehearsal and to leave whatever happened at rehearsal, at rehearsal. Personally, I can't focus on doing my best at marching if I'm dwelling on whatever assignments I have due or whatever happened at school that day. The same goes for school. If I had a bad rehearsal, I try to leave it at rehearsal and focus on school that day."

What are your career or college plans after you graduate high school?

"I plan to go to college right after graduating to get my Bachelor's. Then, either continue on to get my MBA, or go to law school and get my JD."

What advice do you have for younger athletes who want to join your sport?

"My advice to younger athletes would be to be open to trying anything and always have fun. Anything you do in life will always be more enjoyable if you go in with a good attitude."

Do you have any funny pre-game rituals or superstitions that you stick to?

"I always eat a Popsicle before going to practice or to a competition!"

If you were to participate in a talent show unrelated to your sport, what would your act be?

"I think I would try to learn to juggle."
