Student Spotlight: Divina Padonou, Prairie Heights Middle School

"Divina is such a positive influence on our school! Her hard work, kindness, and intelligence make others around her want to do better. She is an example for others to follow and is respected by students and staff alike. We are grateful that Divina is a Hawk!" - Jessica Cooney, Principal

Career/College Plans

I want to attend college, but I am not sure what I want to major in. I am thinking about business or being a counselor.

Favorite Subject

My favorite subject is history. I like knowing how things have become the way they are now.

Favorite Teacher

Some of my favorite teachers are Mrs. Hommes, Mrs. Wallin, Mrs. Myers, and Mr. Fischer. All of the staff at Prairie Heights help me with my school work when I need it the most.

Hobbies

I enjoy reading, braiding, spending time with friends or family, being on my phone, eating, and sleeping.

Favorite Food and/or Restaurant

My favorite food is Chick-Fil-A and McDonald's. My mom's cooking is really good as well.

Favorite Movie or Television Show

I don't really have a favorite, but I do have favorite books. I really liked "Greeting from Witness Protection!" by Jack Burt and "Towers Falling: by Jewell Parker Rhodes.

Personal Goals

I want to become more independent, responsible, and understanding.

What Do You Like Best About Your School

I love my friends at school and the knowledge that I gain.
